A 3-min walk from Ikebukuro Sta. East Exit, we visited a talked-about lunch spot opened in December 2025 by a long-established Yakiniku restaurant from Osaka. "Yakiniku Kojima," founded in 1978, has opened its first Kanto branch, and their limited-quantity weekday "Kuroge Wagyu Hamburg" is already drawing lines for its incredible value.
The lunch-exclusive hamburg steak is made luxuriously with A5-rank Kuroge Wagyu beef. Served on a sizzling iron plate, special sauce is poured right in front of you, filling the air with an appetizing aroma, sizzling sounds, and steam. The meat arrives rare, allowing you to grill it to your preferred level of doneness. Highly recommended toppings are the golden combo of rich cheddar cheese and a premium egg. The robust umami of the Wagyu beef intertwines with the richness of the melting cheese and mellow egg yolk, elevating it to an ultimate flavor. Placing the juicy hamburg steak on top of rice makes it absolutely irresistible.
