Mk36 SRBOCチャフ&フレア(デコイ)発射装置は艦上デッキに取り付けられた6砲身のMk137発射機によって、対艦ミサイルなどの攻撃をうけたときにチャフやフレアを発射しミサイルを撹乱するために使用する。

Mk36 SRBOCは米海軍や海上自衛隊など世界19ヶ国の海軍に1,000セット以上が配備されている。

The Mk 36 Super Rapid Bloom Offboard Countermeasures (SRBOC) Chaff and Decoy Launching System is a shipboard, deck-mounted Mk 137 launcher, 6-barreled mortar-type array that launches type-specific countermeasures against a variety of threats. Following launch and dispersion, Mk 36 SRBOC chaff and infrared countermeasures are designed to lure hostile missiles away from ships under attack by creating false target sets.

The Mk 36 SRBOC is over 1,000 systems are in service and deployed with the U.S. Navy ships and the fleets of 19 navies worldwide.
