The Probe Refueling Adapter (PRA) fits into the air refueling receptacle on the nose of the A-10 Thunderbolt II, converting the aircraft from its standard flying boom configuration to a probe-and-drogue system. Maintainers can install or remove it in just a few hours, with no permanent modifications to the airframe. The modification allows A-10s to refuel from C-130-based tankers such as the HC-130, MC-130, and KC-130, significantly expanding refueling options for deployed units.
