The Patriot (PAC-2) is one of the world's most proven surface-to-air missile systems, designed to intercept and destroy aircraft, cruise missiles, and tactical ballistic missiles. Originally developed by Raytheon in the United States, the PAC-2 variant uses blast-fragmentation warheads and an advanced guidance system to engage targets at ranges of up to 160 km and altitudes exceeding 24 km.
This video features live-fire and training exercise footage from multiple allied nations — including the United States Army, Japan Air Self-Defense Force, German Air Force, and Royal Netherlands Army — showcasing how Patriot batteries are deployed and operated across different military forces.
Each Patriot battery consists of a radar set, control station, power plant, and up to eight launching stations, making it a fully mobile and rapidly deployable air defense solution. The PAC-2 continues to serve as a cornerstone of air defense for NATO allies and partner nations around the world.
