今回も西之島の成長の様子を解説していきます。

今回は気象庁と国土地理院からの情報だけでなく、火山噴火予知連絡会の情報や面積計測、その他の写真があります。

西之島の噴火は勢いを増しています。
島の南側に大量の溶岩が流れ、噴煙は高度8300メートルに達しています。
溶岩は火口から200mも上空まで噴出しています。

南側の海は数百メートルありますが、大量の溶岩で埋めてしまい、どんどん拡大しています。
想定以上の噴火です。

このように島の誕生・成長をリアルタイムで見れる私たちは幸運だと思います。
日本人だけでなく、世界中の火山に興味のある方たちにとっても貴重な現象でしょう。
