「ムカつく」は日頃怒った時、イライラした時、友人との冗談でもよく使う表現です。それを英語で最も近い表現が “annoying” です。「ムカつく」の対象（人、物、出来事）などが主語で使用されます。例えば、「彼はムカつく」は　“He is annoying.”と示します。 受動態で「annoyed」になると反対の意味になります。例えば、“He is annoyed / He gets annoyed” は「何かが彼をむかつかせた」です。
