「朝飯前」とは朝食をとる前のわずかな時間でできるような「簡単な事」という意味で、その表現はそれぞれの国ごとに違います。食品に係わる表現がよくあり、英語では「piece of cake」と言います。他の国、例えば韓国では日本語で直訳すると「ガムだよ」もしくは「横になってもちを食べる」、中国語で「漬物だ」と表されます。

「piece of cake」はケーキの1カットを意味するので小さな問題の話、もし「whole cake」とすると大きい問題と言えるでしょう。「piece of cake」と似たような意味で「no sweat」という表現があります。文字通り汗もかかずに行うことができる本当に「簡単な事」を意味します。
