うまく効いて治療効果が得られるのがくすりの善、治療効果がなかったり副作用が生じてしまうのはくすりの悪、と言えます。治療効果と副作用はくすりの投与量に左右されますが、ある量でどれくらいの効果が出るのかは人によりけりです。つまり、同じくすりでも人によって、また体の状態によって、適切な投与量が変わってきます。古くから「匙加減」という言葉があるとおりです。この講義では、テーラーメイドの薬物医療という観点から、くすりの善と悪を考えます。投薬ミスを防ぐ薬品の命名方法についてもお話しします。

The Good and Evil in Drugs [JP]

[Lecture Description]
A good medicine cures patients, and a bad one doesn't, or even brings unfavorable by-effect. Of course, the effect of medicines depends on the applied dose. It depends, however, on the patients genetic properties, too. So we need the "tailor-made" drug treatment. In this lecture, the good and evil in drugs is considered from this viewpoint. Also the problems of medication errors are discussed, and some solutions are proposed.
