人間の幸福とは何でしょうか。それは経済発展と関係しているのでしょうか。最貧国の状況を見れば、経済発展の必要性は論を待たないように思われます。しかし、経済が高度に発達した先進国でも不幸が発生することは近年の世界金融危機で露呈した通りです。本講義では、人文社会科学の中で唯一「進歩」を意識的に追求している経済学を材料に、学の「進歩」が幸福に結びつくためには様々な条件が整わなければならないことを明らかにしたいと思います。
