この模擬講義では、まず飛行機がなぜ飛ぶことができるのかについて、力学的観点から「飛行の原理」を説明します。次に、これから飛行機がどう進歩していくのかについて、主に「地球にやさしいか」の観点からお話しします。工学部航空宇宙工学科の学生が設計した未来の飛行機のデザインも紹介します。

Title: Aircraft in the Future: An Introduction to Aeronautical Engineering [JP]
Speaker: Kenichi Rinoie

In this mini-lecture at Faculty of Engineering of the University of Tokyo, Prof. Rinoie gives an introduction to aeronautical engineering to the high-school students who visit the UTokyo Open Days 2016. He first explains why aircraft can fly, from the basics of aeromechanics. He tells also how aircraft will and should be in the future, mainly from the perspective of environmental friendliness.
