This assembly kit creates the Swimming Sea Otter, an adorable model with its paddling tail propelled by a submarine motor. Simultaneously, a cam moves the forepaws in a motion mimicking the cracking of a shell. Builders will be fascinated to see how the model transforms the rotation of the motor into reciprocating motion. 【 泳ぐラッコのかわいいしぐさに夢中！ 】 お腹の上にのせた貝をカチカチとたたきながら泳ぐ、かわいいラッコの工作セットです。背中につけた水中モーターの回転をギヤボックスでスピードダウン。シッポを左右に振ってゆったり泳ぎます。また、本物のラッコそっくりに腕を上下させて貝をたたく動きはカム機構、しっぽに合わせて足をゆらゆらと振る動きはリンク機構を使って表現。実際に組み立てて動かすことで、モーターの回転運動が往復運動に変わるしくみがよく分かります。さらに、シッポの角度を調整して右回り・左回りにぐるっと旋回もOK。シッポや足などは押し込むだけで固定できる「プッシュリベット」を使っていて、ビス止め作業はほんの少しなので、はじめて工作シリーズにトライするお子さんにもぴったりです。そして、かわいらしさを引き立てる目や鼻、貝などの耐水ステッカーもセット。元気いっぱいに水面を泳ぐ、愛きょうたっぷりの姿に夢中になることうけあいです。
