Thanks to the support of anglers around the world, Shimano’s “Power Pliers” and “AD Pliers” have earned a strong reputation and are widely trusted.
They are truly classic pliers—balancing ease of use with outstanding durability.
But when we focused specifically on offshore anglers, we asked ourselves:
What should a “truly user-friendly pair of pliers” be?
That question marked the beginning of the OCEA Limited Pliers development.
Our goal was operation and handling you can rely on through real, hard use.
And above all, countermeasures against rust—the offshore angler’s greatest enemy.
After years of trial and error to overcome these challenges, the pliers were finally born.
A flagship model worthy of carrying the OCEA name is now complete.
In this video, we look back on the journey behind that development process.
