寄生バチは、その種類や寄生方法がとても多様ですが　
以前、動画でご紹介したように
クモのような動物に寄生するものがいるかと思えば
植物であるイチジクの中に寄生するものもいます。
そしてここに、私たちが大嫌いなゴキブリを
ゾンビ化させる寄生バチもいます。
本日、ご紹介する
エメラルドゴキブリバチ(Ampulex compressa)という名前を持つ
この寄生バチは宝石のような体の色のために
宝石バチと呼ばれたりもします。
体長は、約2cmと非常に小さいですが
彼らの主なターゲットは、自分より2倍も大きい大型のゴキブリです。
