　2016年11月23日、ニューヨークの第90回メイシーズ感謝祭パレードに向けて、キャラクターバルーンにヘリウムが充填された。　高さ41フィートのスポンジボブ・スクエアパンツなど、誰もが知っているキャラクターのバルーンにガスを入れて膨らませ、木曜日（11月24日）のマンハッタンでのパレードまで飛ばないよう網の中で固定し、保管する。　パレードには約300万人以上の観衆が予想されている。　（2016年11月23日撮影）（ロイター）

Balloons take shape for Thanksgiving parade
　Character balloons are filled with helium on November 23, 2016, preparing them for New York City’s 90th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Famous figures, like a 41-foot tall SpongeBob SquarePants, are pumped with gas then secured with safety nets, which will hold them in place until they’re escorted through Manhattan on Thursday (November 24).
