ニューヨーク植物園で開かれる「ホリデー・トレイン・ショー」は今年で25周年を迎えました。
列車が、一面に植えられた植物と150以上のニューヨークのビルや名所のレプリカの中を通り抜け、およそ半マイル、８００メートル以上の線路の上を走っていきます。
Gスケールのこれらの列車は、模型としては最大級です。エンジンは10ポンドに達するものもあります。
何千人もの来場者が毎年この催しに訪れますが、一番おもしろいのは、実際にこの列車に乗って味わうことでしょう。　（ロイター）

Take a trip inside the Holiday Train Show
The New York Botanical Garden is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its “Holiday Train Show.” Model trains chug through nearly a half-mile of track, running through lush plant displays and past more than 150 replicas of New York City’s buildings and monuments. A G-scale classification, the trains are the largest type of replicas, with some engines weighing as much as ten pounds.
