『MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2024「NEW ERA」』について
日程：2024年10月11日（金）～10月14日（月・祝）
場所：天王洲運河一帯

「MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL」はアートを軸に、音楽・食・ファッション・ライフスタイルなどの隣接したカルチャーを一堂に会することで、領域を超えてそれぞれのカルチャーの魅力に気付きを生み出すとともに、アートに対する新しい出会いや発見を設計することを目指す、領域横断型のアートフェスティバルです。
過去2度開催され、昨年は4万人以上を動員しました。
今年のフェスティバルテーマは「NEW ERA」とし、国内に留まらず、勢いを増すアジアを中心とした海外のアートやカルチャーにおける新しいムーヴメントまでを体験できる唯一無二のアートフェスティバルへの深化を試みるとともに、未来の文化芸術の担い手となる国内外の気鋭アーティスト／キュレーター／ディレクターと協働してフェスティバルを創り上げることで、MEET YOUR ART FESTIVALが今後の活動の発射台となることや、多様な才能が集い、混ざり合い、さらなる新しいうねりを生む起点となることも目指します。

＜MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2024「NEW ERA」見どころ＞
・フェスティバル全体で100名以上の気鋭アーティストが参加
・アートエキシビションは、キュレーターに吉田山、呉宮百合香、堤拓也を迎え国内外のさまざまな表現形式のアーティストとのコラボレーションにより、来場者が作品を鑑賞するだけでなく、展覧会に参加することで絶えず偶然が発生する場を創出
・アートフェア「MEET YOUR ARTISTS」では、国内外気鋭アーティスト40名200点以上の作品展示販売に加え、「日本の美意識」にフォーカスしたエリアも設計
・アートと様々なカルチャーが交差する風景を15組以上の出展者がそれぞれの視点で切り取るアートフェア「CROSSOVER」では新進気鋭のギャラリーからファッションや音楽など多様なカルチャーを横断するプレイヤーが参加
・初開催となる「TOKYO ART MARKET」では40店舗以上のアートグッズやZINEを扱うショップが集結
・「OUTSIDE MARKET」にはファッション／ライフスタイル／フードなどのショップが全国から40店舗以上集結、ここでしか味わえないスペシャルフードも
・運河に浮かぶ船上ステージではアジアのカルチャーシーンを席捲するミュージシャンによるライブパフォーマンス／DJを実施
・森山未來×出展アーティストによるトークセッションはもちろん「アート×経済」をテーマにしたトークセッションデーを設計。アートの可能性を考える

MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2024 [NEW ERA] Event Outline

“MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL” brings forth new cross-cultural awareness through intersecting fields of music, food, fashion, and various lifestyles all gathered in one space as a cross-disciplinary type of festival, with the aim of offering new encounters and discoveries centered on art.
The event has been held twice to date, with an attendance of over 40,000 visitors last year.

This year’s festival theme is [NEW ERA], which will extend beyond Japan to offer experiences of new overseas artistic and cultural movements centered on the growing momentum of Asia. Attempting to further deepen the festival’s presence as a one-of-a-kind event, it will be built together with emerging artists, curators, and directors across Japan and overseas, who will lead the future of culture and the arts.
This year’s MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL aims to become a launching pad for their upcoming activities, and a base where all kinds of talents come together and mingle to forge new waves of creativity.

＜Highlights of MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2024 [NEW ERA]＞
・Over 100 emerging artists included in one entire festival.
・A curated exhibition will be organized by invited curators – yoshidayamar, Yurika Kuremiya, Takuya Tsutsumi – in collaboration with Japanese and overseas artists working in various expressive forms. Visitors can not only view the artworks, but also participate in the exhibition, creating a space for constant chance encounters with the art.
・Art fair “MEET YOUR ARTISTS” will hold an exhibition of artworks for sale by over 40 artists – totaling over 200 works. Additionally, the fair will showcase a special area focused on the theme of “Japanese Aesthetics”.
・Art fair “CROSSOVER” will put together different cultural perspectives from over 15 exhibitors intersecting with art. From up-and-coming galleries to fashion and music, players from a wide range of cultural fields will join in this cross-disciplinary fair.
・The first holding of “TOKYO ART MARKET” will include art goods and ZINES from over 40 shops gathered in one area.
・“OUTSIDE MARKET” will hold over 40 shops from across Japan selling fashion and lifestyle items, food, and more – even specialty foods that can only be tasted here.
・A floating canal stage will put on live music and DJ performances by musicians sweeping the culture scenes of Asia.
・A talk session day will be held, which will include talks between Mirai Moriyama (actor/dancer) & exhibiting artists, as well as those focused on the theme of “art × business”.
