　新潟の3人組女性アイドルグループ「Negicco（ねぎっこ）」が2月18日、東京・秋葉原で開催されたイベント「早朝フェス　Morning　Gloryville　Tokyo」に登場し、ライブを行った。ライブ終了後、メンバーが取材に応じ、アイドルグループ「AKB48」の姉妹グループとして新潟を拠点に活動する「NGT48」が誕生することについて、Nao☆さんは「ライバル意識はありません。足元にもおよばないので、一緒に新潟を盛り上げていければ。新潟はシャッター街も増えているし、（新潟に）来てくれることがありがたい。共演したいですね」と“共闘”を宣言した。

　タレントのマツコ・デラックスさんがNGT48の誕生して、Negiccoを「かわいそう」と発言したことについて、Nao☆さんは「Negiccoを覚えてくれたことがうれしい。直接お会いしてお礼が言いたい」と喜んだ。

　また、Negiccoは22日にNHK総合の音楽番組「MUSIC　JAPAN」に初出演し、番組MCで憧れのPerfumeと共演することについて、Meguさんは「うれしい。Perfumeさんのようになりたい！」とコメント。今後の活動について、Kaedeさんは「焦っても失敗するかもしれない。ちょっとずつでもマイペースに進んでいければ」と語っていた。

　Negiccoは2003年に結成された新潟のアイドルグループで、Nao☆さん、Meguさん 、Kaedeさんの3人組。西寺郷太さんや小西康陽さん、田島貴男さんらがプロデュースした楽曲を発表し、話題になっている。NGT48のメンバー一期生のオーディションは3月に開催。新グループ結成とともに新潟に10月に新劇場ができる予定。
