　お笑いコンビ「バナナマン」が、3D劇場版アニメ「ミニオンズ」（7月31日公開）の日本語吹き替えで親子役を務めることが3月5日、明らかになった。バナナマンの2人は同日に行われたキャスト発表会見に出席。設楽統さんが演じるキャラクターの息子の声を担当する日村勇紀さんは「初の設楽さんの息子役。今から興奮している。やっぱり設楽さんは相方であり、父親であり……」と思いを語り出したが、設楽さんは「俺はそんなこと一回も思ったことねーよ」とあしらって笑わせた。

　「ミニオンズ」は、「怪盗グルーの月泥棒」（2010年公開）や「怪盗グルーのミニオン危機一発」など「怪盗グルー」シリーズの最新作で、人気キャラクター・ミニオンが主役の作品。天海さんはミニオンたちの“最強の女ボス”であるスカーレット・オーバーキル役、バナナマンと彩華ちゃんは主人公のミニオンたちが旅の途中で出会うネルソン一家を演じる。

It was revealed on March 5th that the comedy duo “Bananaman” would play father and child in the Japanese dubbed version of the 3D animation movie “Minions” (to be premiered on July 31st). A press conference to announce cast members was held on the same day. Yuki Himura, who dubs the son of the character played by Osamu Shitara, talked about his thinking: "It is the first time I have played Shitara’s son. I have already been very eager from now. Actually, Shitara is both my partner and my father.....", but Shitara answered: "It has never crossed my mind", making everybody burst into laughter.
