　元サッカー日本代表の前園真聖 さんが10月29日、「JPタワー　KITTE」（東京都千代田区）で行われた年賀状販売開始セレモニーにはかま姿で登場。「今年1年をひと言で表現すると」という質問に前園さんは「感謝」と挙げ「周りのたくさんの方に支えられて今の自分があると、40代になって改めて思いました」と満面の笑みを見せた。

　同日は、前園さんの42歳の誕生日で、司会者から「誕生日おめでとうございます」と祝いの言葉をかけられると「このタイミングで申し訳ありません」と恐縮。さらに「今年1年というか、いろいろありましたけども。特に今年1年は、たくさんのお仕事をいただき充実した時間を過ごさせていただきました」と振り返った。セレモニーには、モデルの道端 アンジェリカ さんも振り袖姿で出席した。

　日本郵便は29日から、2016年用年賀状引き受けを開始。セレモニーでは、前園さんと道端さんが特別販売も行った。

Former Japan national football team's player Masakiyo Maezono appeared in Hakama costume alongside model Angelica Patricia Michibata at "New Year greeting cards enclosed with gift money 2016 (Heisei 28)" sales release ceremony held in Tokyo on October 29th.

At the press conference, in response to the question "Please describe this year with one word", Maezono said: "Thank you". He added: "I realize that I has received the support from people around once again instead of being on my own", while Michibata said: "Achievement". She also added with a smile: "Both my life and work are adequate".
