　映画は、オールフランスロケ、日本人以外のキャスト、全編仏語となり、黒沢監督が海外に初進出した作品。物語は、世界最古の写真撮影方法「ダゲレオタイプ」を軸に、芸術と愛情を混同した写真家の父の犠牲になる娘と、“撮影”を目撃しながらも娘に心を奪われていく男の、美しくもはかない愛と悲劇が描かれる。映画は2016年10月15日公開。

The story is a tragedy and a beautiful but fleeting love of a woman who has to scarify for her father - who is a photographer - mixing between art and emotion, and a man who loves photography, but devotes all his heart to her. The movie revolves the photography school "daguerréotype" that is the world's oldest photography.
