　愛知県で開催中のコスプレの祭典「世界コスプレサミット（WCS）2017」で8月6日、コスプレの世界一を決める「世界コスプレチャンピオンシップ」が行われ、「ブラッド ザ ラスト ヴァンパイア」のコスプレでパフォーマンスをした中国代表が初優勝した。「怪～ayakashi～化猫」のコスプレでパフォーマンスをした日本代表は3位だった。

　中国代表は緊迫感のあるアクションで観客を魅了し、大きな歓声と拍手を浴びた。過去の代表コスプレーヤーが選ぶ「エアアジア賞」など、四つの特別賞のうち、三つを受賞するなど圧倒的な強さを見せた。受賞が発表された瞬間、手をたたいて喜び、繰り返しお辞儀をして各国代表コスプレーヤーや観客に感謝の気持ちを表し、「ここでみなさんに認められてうれしい」と喜んだ。

　2位は「トライガン」のコスプレでパフォーマンスをしたメキシコ代表だった。

　チャンピオンシップは、愛知県芸術文化センター（名古屋市東区）の大ホールで開催された。声優の古谷徹さんが審査委員長を務め、審査員をWCS2017オフィシャルサポーターの上坂すみれさん、声優の興津和幸さん、津田美波さん、歌手の佐咲紗花さんら11人が務めた。

　WCSは、03年にスタートし、今年15回目。チャンピオンシップは、05年から行われている。日本のアニメ、マンガ、ゲーム、特撮のキャラクターに扮（ふん）した世界各国の代表コスプレーヤーが2人1組のチームで出場し、コスプレの完成度やパフォーマンスなどを競う。今年は過去最多となる35カ国・地域が参加し、クウェートを除く34カ国・地域の代表コスプレーヤーが出場。チリ、ベルギー、アラブ首長国連邦、ミャンマー、プエルトリコが初出場した。日本は09年と12年に世界一に輝いている。

In the cosplay festival "World Coslay Summit (WCS) 2017" which is being held in Aichi prefecture, the fisrt contest of "World Cosplay Championship" to find the world's best cosplay was held on August 8, representative from China performed the cosplay of "Blood: The Last Vampire" and won first place.

Representatives from China attracted the audience with a sense of urgency, and received warm cheer and applause.

The Chinese representative showed overwhelming strength by winning three out of four special prizes including the "Air Asia Prize" which is sellected by former Cosplayer representatives.

At the moment of announcing the victory, the group swatted the hands, kept bowing to express their gratitude to the audience and cosplayers from other countries. They said, "We are glad to be recognized by everyone here"
