　人気SF映画「スター・ウォーズ」シリーズの最新作「スター・ウォーズ／最後のジェダイ」（ライアン・ジョンソン監督、12月15日公開）来日キャストの記者会見が12月7日、東京都内で行われた。会場では動く浮世絵で知られる映像作家、瀬川三十七さんによる「スター・ウォーズ浮世絵動画」が披露された。ルーク・スカイウォーカー役で知られる米俳優のマーク・ハミルさんは「言葉で言い表せないほど素晴らしかった。完全に見入ってしまった。自分用にコピーをもらえない？」と興奮ぎみに語り、「衝撃のスター・ウォーズ！」と日本語で感動を表現した。

　会見にはハミルさんのほか、ジョンソン監督、カイロ・レン役のアダム・ドライバーさん、ルーカスフィルム社長のキャスリーン・ケネディさんも登場。スター・ウォーズの浮世絵動画は、来日したゲストへの「衝撃」として、ジョンソン監督の合図とともに会場で上映された。上映後、ハミルさんは「フウー！　ファンタスティック！　一番！」と日本語で叫び、「最後にルークが現れて、スーッと（フォースで浮世絵を）引き寄せるところがたまらなかった！」と笑顔で語った。ドライバーさんも「美しい。また違った形でこのような作品の世界観が広がって素晴らしい」と感動していた。

　「最後のジェダイ」は、新「スター・ウォーズ」3部作の第1作「フォースの覚醒」（2015年）に続く新作。前作「フォースの覚醒」は、「エピソード6／ジェダイの帰還」から約30年後が舞台で、フォースを巡る新しい“家族の愛と喪失の物語”が描かれた。ルークやハン・ソロ、レイアといった旧シリーズでおなじみのキャラクターも登場して話題となった。

Even Luke was impressed too! Debut “Moving Ukiyoe” of “Star Wars”

On December 7th, the press conference of the cast of the latest movie “Star Wars: the last Jedi” which was directed by Rian Johnson, premiered on December 15th in the extremely popular sci-fi series Star Wars, was held in Tokyo.

In the hall, “Star Wars Ukiyoe” was produced by Segawa Atsuki, the famous film creator in the field of Ukiyoe motion pictures.

Mark Hamill, the American actor famous for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker, was so excited to share, "The movie is so amazing that it can not be described in words. I was completely immersed in it. Can I get a copy for my use? ". He expressed his emotion in the Japanese language as "Shougeki no Star Wars".

Besides Mark Hamill, Director Rian Johnson, Adam Driver as the character Kylo Ren, Kathleen Kennedy, the President of Lucasfilm, also attended the press conference.

At the conference, Actor Adam Driver was moved to share, "It is so beautiful that I am excited to see such a unique work. It is great that the vision of such a great work open up in a new face”.
