　テレビアニメやゲームが人気の「プリティーリズム」「プリパラ」など「プリティー」シリーズの新作テレビアニメ「キラッとプリ☆チャン」が制作され、4月からテレビ東京ほかで放送されることが1月24日、明らかになった。動画サイト、自分発信がテーマで、大企業や有名人が「プリ☆チャンシステム」を使って番組を配信し、女の子がプリ☆チャンアイドルを目指す世界で、なりゆきでプリ☆チャンデビューした中学1年生の活躍を描く。アーケードゲームも4月から展開される。「プリティー」シリーズは新作「プリティーオールフレンズ」の制作も発表されており、「キラッとプリ☆チャン」は新プロジェクトの第2弾となる。

　声優ユニット「Wake Up，Girls！」の妹分「Run Girls，Run！（RGR）」の林鼓子さんが、好奇心旺盛な桃山みらい、声優アイドルユニット「i☆Ris（アイリス）」の久保田未夢さんが、スポーツ万能の萌黄えも、同じく「RGR」の厚木那奈美さんが、みらいとえものマネジャーの青葉りんかをそれぞれ演じる。「RGR」は主題歌も担当する。

　「それが声優！」などの博史池畠さんが監督を務め、「機動戦士ガンダムAGE」などの兵頭一歩さんがシリーズ構成を担当する。

　「プリティー」シリーズは2010年に始動したプロジェクト。11年から「プリティーリズム・オーロラドリーム」「プリティーリズム・ディアマイフューチャー」「プリティーリズム・レインボーライブ」「プリティーリズム・オールスターセレクション」「プリパラ」「アイドルタイムプリパラ」といったテレビアニメが放送されている。

"RGR" is in charge of performing the theme song.
