　人気マンガが原作の舞台「おおきく振りかぶって」の公開ゲネプロと記者会見が2月2日、サンシャイン劇場（東京都豊島区）で行われ、俳優の西銘駿さんら出演者が出席した。主人公の三橋廉を演じる西銘さんは、初めての舞台主演について「僕が千秋楽まで座長としてやっていけるかと不安があったけど、みんなが優しく接してくれたおかげで、今は不安なく突っ走れると思っています」と、緊張した面持ちで意気込みを語った。

　この日の会見には、西浦高校野球部メンバーの阿部隆也役で猪野広樹さん、百枝まりあ役で久住小春さん、花井梓役で白又敦さん、田島悠一郎役で納谷健さん、脚本と演出を担当した成井豊さんが出席した。西銘さんは舞台の見どころについて「原作では表せなかったシーンや、アニメのシーンを凝縮しています。全て見どころです」とアピールした。

　「おおきく振りかぶって」は、卑屈だがマウンドは絶対に譲ろうとしない投手の三橋廉や、リードは抜群だが投手に不信を抱く捕手の阿部隆也ら個性的な西浦高校野球部員が、女性監督・百枝まりあの熱くユニークな指導によって成長する姿を描いている。2003年から「月刊アフタヌーン」（講談社）で連載中で、テレビアニメも人気を集めた。コミックスは28巻まで発売されており、累計発行部数は1000万部以上。

　舞台はサンシャイン劇場で、12日まで公演される。全席指定で特別観戦シートが9000円、一般観戦シートが7500円。

Big Windup! stage play

The rehearsal and press conference of "Big Windup!" stage play originally adapted from a famous manga were held at Sunshine Theatre (Toshima, Tokyo), and performers including Shun Nishime also attended.

Nishime (as the main character, Ren Mihashi) excitedly share about his performance as the leading role, regardless of being nervous: "Until the last day of the tour, I always worry whether I can do it as a chairman or not. Thanks to the sincerity and friendliness of everyone, I no longer feel anxious."


"Big Windup!" is a story about members with strong characteristics of Nishiura Koukou High school baseball team, for instance, Ren Mihashi is the person of low self-esteem but when standing on the mound as a pitcher, he never gives up; and Takaya Abe is exceptionally capable catcher but he is short-tempered. They both get more mature under the unique and inspirational guidance of a female coach, Maria Momoe.
