U.S. mission arrives in Pyongyang

Google Inc. Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt and former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson arrive in Pyongyang on Jan. 7, 2013, for talks on a Korean-American detained in North Korea and the country's missile and nuclear programs, as well as to make an assessment of the economic situation there. Schmidt and Richardson are among members of a U.S. delegation on what is described by Richardson as a "private, humanitarian mission" to North Korea.
