中日本高速道路（名古屋市）は１５日、昨年１２月に天井板崩落事故が起きた山梨県の中央自動車道上り線笹子トンネル（全長４・８キロ）内を初めて報道陣に公開した。天井部には、地下水の漏れた跡やコンクリートのひびなどを示す白いチョークの跡が見えた。東京側出口から約１・７キロの事故現場付近は公開されなかった。

Tunnel shown to reporters after ceiling collapse

Central Nippon Expressway Co. shows reporters the inbound lanes in the Sasago Tunnel on the Chuo Expressway in Yamanashi Prefecture, west of Tokyo, on Jan. 15, 2013, for the first time since the fatal collapse of interior roof segments on Dec. 2, 2012. The exact site of the accident was not shown, however.
