来日中のギリシャのオルガ・ケファロヤニ観光相は１２日、東京都内で共同通信の取材に応じ、治安悪化の印象などからギリシャへの日本人観光客が減少していることに関して「日本国内に誤解がある。ギリシャは非常に安全な場所」と述べ、訪問を呼び掛けた。観光相は１２年６月に３７歳の若さで就任。メディアで「欧州一美しい閣僚」と称されている。
