千葉工業大は２５日、東京電力福島第１原発の廃炉作業を進めるために開発した新型ロボットを報道陣に公開した。階段を上ったり、物をアームでつかんだりすることが可能。水中を移動することもでき、人が立ち入れない作業現場での活躍を期待できるという。
The Chiba Institute of Technology invites journalists on Sept. 25, 2013, to see the Sakura No. 2, an amphibious robot it has developed for possible use in decommissioning the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, at its campus in Narashino, Chiba Prefecture. The robot is waterproofed to allow it to cope with underground water that has flowed into the reactor buildings at the crippled power plant.
