東京・築地の中央卸売市場で５日朝、ことし初の取引となる生鮮マグロの初競りがあった。２３０キロの青森県大間産クロマグロが、昨年の約２０分の１に当たる最高値の７３６万円（１キロ当たり３万２千円）で競り落とされた。すしチェーン「すしざんまい」を運営する喜代村（東京）が落札した。

A bluefin tuna fetches 7.36 million yen, or 32,000 yen per kilogram, on Jan. 5, 2014, at the first auction of the year at Tokyo's Tsukiji fish market. The buyer of the 230-kilogram tuna from Oma, Aomori Prefecture, was the operator of the "Sushizanmai" sushi restaurant chain.
