トヨタ自動車が８日発表した２０１４年３月期連結決算によると、営業利益が前期比７３・５％増の２兆２９２１億円と６年ぶりに過去最高を更新した。円安効果が大きく寄与し、海外販売も好調だった。

Toyota Motor Corp.'s group operating profit for fiscal 2013 surged 73.5 percent from the previous year to a record 2.29 trillion yen, the company says in a press conference in Tokyo on May 8, 2014. The results were driven by the yen's slide and robust sales in Japan and North America. But the automaker expects a lackluster performance in the current fiscal year partly due to a negative impact from the sales tax hike in Japan.
