東京電力は１０日、福島第１原発１号機の原子炉建屋カバー解体に向けた作業で、放射性物質の飛散防止剤の効果を確認するため、屋根部分から２枚目のパネルを取り外した。８日に取り外す予定だったが、構内の地上タンク建設現場で７日に鋼材が落下、３人が負傷する事故があり、安全確認のため延期していた。

Tokyo Electric Power Co. removes a second panel from the roof of the cover shrouding the No. 1 nuclear reactor building of the crippled Fukushima Daiichi complex on Nov. 10, 2014. The removal, conducted on a trial basis, is a first step toward demolishing the cover and eventually removing spent fuel rods stored in a cooling pool in the building.
