ホンダは２３日、米国で開発中の小型ジェット機「ホンダジェット」を、国内で初めて羽田空港で報道陣に公開した。創業者の故本田宗一郎氏が約半世紀前に航空機事業への参入を表明し、本格的な研究を始めてから約３０年で日本の空を飛行した。

Honda Motor Co. unveiled its light business aircraft to the media for the first time in Japan on April 23, 2015, nearly three years after the automaker started research and development to enter the aviation industry. The HondaJet is currently under development in the United States. After Honda's late founder Soichiro Honda expressed his vision for entering the aviation industry in the 1960s, Honda started research in 1986.
