Welcome to the official Kabuki Channel, "Kabuki-masho!"
I'm Takematsu Ichimura, a Kabuki actor, and the member of the Japan Actor's Association.
In this series, I will be explaining the world of Kabuki in English.
This is my first video, before we dig in to Kabuki and Japanese culture, let me first answer to this question, "what is Kabuki?"

Along with Noh and Bunraku, Kabuki created the core elements of Japanese theatrical entertainment and greatly influenced the public culture of Japan.
This series will introduce you to the world of Kabuki and Japanese culture with detailed explanations of Kabuki and Japanese culture, presented by a professional kabuki actor.
