The clock’s supervisor has been visiting here to adjust the time and to wind
the screw up once in a week for the last 20 years. Needless to say, this is a
very holy place.

Panerai’s technical know-how has contributed to repairing the aging clock as
it deteriorated, in order to keep the prestige of God’s place.

Panerai’s head office is located in just behind the cathedral. You can easily
understand how deeply the company is rooted in this city. I thought I felt a
comfortable weight on my wrist that I didn’t usually feel in Tokyo.

My next destination was Museo Galileo, whose name is taken from the famous
Galileo Galilei. Panerai has donated “Jupietrium”, the planetarium clock they
invented, to this museum.
