結婚式場で使用されたブーケなど、役目を終えた草花に新たな命を吹き込んでいる安永かおりさん。廃棄される花の問題は、コロナ禍でイベントの中止が相次ぎ需要が低迷したことで、改めて浮き彫りになりました。そこで、廃棄予定の花をキャンドルの表面に配置し「リブルームキャンドル」として昇華させることに。使用後の花を捨てなくてはならない心苦しさを減らし、花を捨てないことを当たり前にしたいと語る安永さんの思い描く未来とは？

Ms. Kaori Yasunaga is breathing new life into flowers that have fulfilled their purpose in things like bridal bouquets. The problem of flower disposal has once again come to the fore as demand has slumped due to a series of canceled events because of the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, she decided to place flowers that were going to be thrown away on the surface of candles as “re;bloom candles.” Ms. Yasunaga says that she wants to reduce the pain of having to throw away used flowers and make it commonplace to not throw away flowers. What kind of future does she envision?
