仏さまへのお供え物を“おさがり”としていただき、必要としている人へおすそ分け…
そんな活動を行っているのが「おてらおやつクラブ」です。
今回は、愛知県の林昌寺とご近所の人たちが参加したこの取り組みは、奈良県の安養寺から始まり、いまや宗派を超えて全国の寺院で展開。地域の方の手も借りながら、経済的に困っている家庭へ救いの手を差し伸べています。
新たな繋がりも誕生し、社会や地域からの“孤立の解消”も…参加者たちがその活動に思い描く未来とは？

Offerings to the Buddha are passed on, shared with those who need them… That sort of activity is being carried out by “The Temple Snack Club”. This time, the people living near Rinshoji temple in Aichi Prefecture are participating in the program, which began at Anyoji temple in Nara Prefecture has now spread to temples all over the country regardless of sect. With the help of local people, they reach out to families in need. They create new connections in community, reducing the sense of isolation from society and the world in those whom they assist. What sort of future do the participants see for this program?
