セブ島の土産物店で売られていた、3つで約2000円のカゴバッグ。
安く買えて嬉しいはずが「作り手は、正当な賃金をもらっているのだろうか？」とフィリピンの女性たちの身の上が気になった関谷里美さん。
そこで、現地の女性たちにかぎ編みの技術を伝授した上で、バッグ作りを依頼。
彼女たちが正当な対価を得ることができる支援の仕組みを確立させました。
たった一本のかぎ針で女性たちの未来を切り拓いた、関谷さんの思い描く未来とは？

Basket bags sold in a souvenir shop on Cebu Island were three-for-2,000 yen. Most people would be happy to find such a bargain, but Satomi Sekiya thought of the women of the Philippines and wondered if the people who made those bags were being paid properly. So, she taught local women crocheting techniques and asked them to make bags for her. She created a system that allows the women to be paid fairly. Opening up the future for women with a single crochet-hook, what kind of future does Ms. Sekiya see?
