“100歳でも心と体が健康なら大歓迎”・・・
そんな記事を見て斑目敏子さんは、子ども服やインテリアなど様々なアイテムを扱うお店『call』のスタッフに応募しました。
昔からの夢だった接客業、70歳で踏み出した一歩。
初めての経験に四苦八苦しつつも、生き生きと働いています。
チカラの源は、お客さんとのやりとりや励ましの言葉なんだとか。
生涯現役で働きたい、と毎日を楽しむ斑目さんが、思い描く未来とは？

“Accepting applicants up to 100 years old; as long as you are of sound body and mind, we will welcome you with open arms”... When Ms. Toshiko Madarame saw that want-ad, she applied for a staff position at Call, a store which deals in children’s clothing and interior decorations. So, at the age of 70, she took the first step towards an old dream of hers; working at a job which dealt directly with customers. Even when job is tough, she is a lively worker. Interactions with the customers and their words of support are her source of energy. What kind of future does this woman who wants to enjoyably and actively work for life, Ms. Madarame, see?
