金属の切れ端が、スタイリッシュでかわいい花瓶に・・・。
川崎市で金属加工会社『相和シボリ工業』を営む大浪友和さん一家は、製品を作る時に必ず出る“端材”に新たな命を吹き込んでいます。
“端材”を再利用する際に出るCO2を少しでも減らそうと、試行錯誤の末に誕生したのは、イラストや文字入れも可能な、世界にひとつの花瓶です。
地元のデザイナーさんたちの協力も大きな力となった花瓶作り。大浪さんが思い描く未来とは？

In Kawasaki at the metalworks company, Aiwa-Shibori Kogyo, run by Mr. Tomokazu Onami and his family; they are breathing new life into the mill-ends, metal scraps that are always produced after making other products, by turning those scraps into stylish, cute flower vases.
Through trial and error, they finally came up with this idea in an attempt to lower even by a little the amount of CO2, which is always produced even when recycling mill-ends.
The flower vases, which they created with the support of local designers, can be personalized with lettering or illustrations, and are one of a kind.
What kind of future does Mr. Onami see?
