Kimonos or obi full of memories, which are no longer worn very often, are being remade into bags or parasols that can be used daily. Ms. Yuki Sorimachi, wants people to feel like their kimonos are still close to them, and is shining a new light on the kimono, an important part of Japan’s traditional culture. She is making these kimonos and obi into unique items with skills that she has spent ten years honing. What kind of future does Ms. Sorimachi, who is giving the delicate beauty of kimono textiles new appeal?
